Where can I buy a ski pass?
1. Cash desks at the Gondola lift - bottom station in Bansko town (only 3 minutes walking distance from our ski and snowboard wardrobe)

Sunday to Wednesday: 08:30 - 17:00. Next day ski passes sales between 16:30 and 17:00.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 08:30 - 21:00. Next day ski passes sale between 16:30 and 21:00.
IMPORTANT
Gondola lift opens at 08:00, the cash desk at 08:30. Queues form for both places, especially the wait for the Gondola lift is usually long. Make sure you arrive quite early, especially if you have an appointment for a ski/snowboard lesson.
2. The cash desks at the top station of the Gondola lift - Banderishka Polyana
This option is convenient if you go up the mountain by car.
The road from Bansko to Banderishka Polyana is about 15-20 minutes. Travel times may increase if there is congestion or very snowy conditions. Make sure you have snow chains and leave early enough to avoid traffic - at 08:00 from Bansko during peak periods. The parking fee is about 20 BGN per car.
WORKING TIME
Every day: 08:30 - 17:00.
3. Vending machines around the ski zone
From 2021, there are several machines around the cable car station where you can buy ski passes.
- Maxsport store on Pirin Street to Hotel Strazhite
- Gondola's parking just before the Gondola’s entrance
4. Selected hotels
Some hotels in Bansko sell ski passes at their reception. If you are staying at a hotel, ask if it is possible to buy a ski pass from them.
When should I purchase the ski pass?
You can buy your ski pass on the same day or the day before. In the morning there are 2 lines to stand in - one to buy the ski pass and one for the Gondola. That's why we always recommend our customers, if they have the opportunity, to get a ski pass before their first day on the slopes.
Can't get a ski pass the day before? Here are some ideas to save time:
- Wait in line for the Gondola while your friend queues at the cash desk to buy your ski passes.
- Get a ski pass from the hotel in the morning before going to the Gondola.
- Go by car/bus/taxi to Banderishka Polyana and take your card from the cash desk at the top of the Gondola lift.
Can I buy the ski pass online?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy a ski pass for Bansko online.
However, a card already purchased can be reloaded online. Learn how to do it here.
Which currencies can be used to pay for the card?
At the Gondola lift cash desks, you can only pay in Bulgarian leva (BGN) in cash or by card.
Regarding payments in hotels and vending machines, we advise you to check the possibilities directly at the respective places.
I am a beginner. Do I need a ski pass?
Whether you are planning to use all the lifts or just a small beginners lift, you'll need a ski pass.
You must scan your ski pass at each lift before using it. Also, the card includes insurance, with which you get a a free transfer to the medical center of the ski resort in case of an accident.
What is the difference between a Gondola ticket and a ski pass?
GONDOLA TICKET
The Gondola ticket is used by resort visitors who want to enjoy nature or eat and drink in the huts of Bunderishka Polyana. The ticket includes one ride up and one ride down.
SKI PASS
The ski pass is what you need to get access to all the lifts and slopes of the ski resort, whether you are a beginner and will use a limited number of lifts or take advantage of all of them. It includes unlimited daily use of all lifts, including the Gondola. There is no possibility to buy a cheaper ski pass if you do not use the Gondola.
Some beginner skiers and snowboarders who want to save money, buy a ticket for the cable car to get to Bunderishka Polyana and then go up the short beginner slopes on their own (without using the lift) and ski down.
Other skiers and snowboarders who have some experience and want to save money, buy a Gondola ticket to go up to Bunderishka Polyana and ski down the ski road. This is the 7 km blue slope from Banderitsa to Bansko.
ATTENTION!
In the above cases, always keep in mind that the Gondola ticket does not include insurance. This means that in the event of an accident during skiing or snowboarding, if you need to be transported from the slope to the medical center, you'll need to pay a large amount (from 25 to 300 euros).
